I love to dye fabric, make thread pictures and quilt. I live in the Yukon on an acreage with my husband, 2 dogs and 34 fish. It's the 'good' life.

Give Away!

I love books. Educational, thrillers, mysteries, self-help, humour and everything in between. Mostly though, I love quilting books.

I received a number of new books recently and I ordered this one twice! Since I don't really feel like going through the hassle of sending it back,I am giving away this book:


What an awesome book! Many of the projects use hexies and really simple quilting designs. There are some good, quick tips and as expected, some crisp and detailed photos throughout. On top of that, Malka's blog is great too..

OK--here are the RULES!  You must be a real person, living somewhere in the world and you must leave a comment. (and it wouldn't hurt to follow me!). I will ship world wide.

The draw will  CLOSE Wednesday, October 24 @ 6pm PST.

    The last time I checked I was alive and living in the world, although earlier in the week I wasn't so sure I wanted to be (had the flu). How lovely to give a book away. Count me in. I really enjoy following your blog - you are so creative.

    I'm real, I'm a follower and loving those trees you posted the other day (thank you so much) and I love that you'll ship international. I'm also in need of a new machine cover and have been admiring the one on the cover of this book. Thanks for the giveaway Dahn. :-)

    Wow, this is a book I was checking out on Amazon.ca. I think it could be an awesome one to have, use and share in our modern quilt guild.

    Alive and happily quilting also in the Yukon!!!! Wow, so glad to find another Yukon blogger. And oh my gosh, I'm trying to convince a friend to come with me to the next Haines Junction retreat. I'm hoping that all the spots didn't get filled this weekend.

      I'm a real person from Water Valley, Alberta . . . and also a quilter and I used to live in Whitehorse back in the 70s and 80s . . . a wonderful place to call home!

    I'm trying to dip my toe in the color pool, but it's so scary. I just made a twin throw out of orange and blue - looking up at the blue sky through some orange autumn leaves validated my color choices, but the next project is a puzzler. On the book cover, the bold colors and my favorites, geometrics, get my quilt design juices flowing. I'll rise to the challenges!

    I'm a real person and I follow! There's a new modern quilt guild starting next month here in Saskatoon for the first time. I'm joining because I really want to be able to throw those shapes and colors together and make it work. SO far, I suck at making modern quilts. I would make this our first 'guild library book' for the SMQG. If I win, I want it signed by you inside the cover! : )
